LEXUS IS-F

At last LEXUS IS-F released at the Detroit Auto Show !
A lot of people who are interested in it must have checked web site. Of cource, I already did it ! :D
This is the IS-F. So COOOOOL !!!
遂に、レクサスＩＳ－Ｆがデトロイトの自動車ショーで発表されましたね！きっと多くのＩＳファンの方々は既にWebでチェックしていることでしょう。もちろん僕もチェック済です。(^^)/
これがそのIS-Fなのですが、とーってもカッコイイです！

This is a shift lever of IS-F. Did anyone notice something?
で、これはIS-Fのシフトレバーなのですが、誰かあることに気が付いたでしょうか？

Please compare with below, current IS's shift lever.
現行ISの写真と比べて見て下さい。

Yes! The position of the plus and the minus is different.
And more, IS-F doesn't have 'S-mode'. It is 'M-mode'. Yes!, it is manual mode.
I can't wait to see IS-F !!! :D
そうです、＋とーの位置が入れ替わっているのです！
そして更に、IS-Fには、Sモードはありません。Mモードなのです。
そう、つまり、マニュアルモードってことです！！
早くＩＳ－Ｆをこの目で見たいです！(^o^)

LEXUS IS's last shot in 2006

After I got 2IS at first of this year, there were many things.
3 times owner's meeting, Blog, car modifications, etc... And, I could make many many buddies and am happy. I hope that I can spend more happy time with 2IS next year.

今年の初めにＩＳを入手してから、いろいろな事がありました。
３回のオーナーズミーティング、ブログ、モディフィケーション、等々・・
そして多くの仲間と知り合えて本当に幸せです。来年もＩＳと共に楽しく過ごせればと思います。

D-range Paddle Shifter !

First of all, My 2IS came back at last ! As you can see below picture, the dent was fixed perfectly. There are no color shading. Its perfect ! Thanks My LEXUS !
まず最初に、ようやくＭｙ ＩＳ が戻って来ました。写真でも判るとおり、キズは完璧に直りました。色むらもありません。完璧です！ありがとう、My LEXUS ！

Well, As for "The D-range Paddle Shifter", at first I installed it in the center panel.
BUT ! Because the case was a little large, the cover was not able to be closed.
さてさて、”Ｄレンジ・パドル・シフター”ですが、最初、センターパネルの中に装着しました。
が、しかーし！ケースがちょっぴり大きくて、パネルを閉じる事が出来ませんでした。。。(--;;


So, I installed it in the drink holder. However, this is a temporary place. I will move to the center console box.
なので、ドリンクホルダーに入れました。でもこれは仮置きで、センターコンソールボックスに移動する予定です。

I immediately went to Test Drive. I can always use the paddle shifter without the shift lever moving to the S-mode. The mode automatically returns to D-range when both paddles are pulled at the same time or the paddle is not pulled for three minutes.
It is very convenient when a strong engine brake is necessary.
直ぐにテストドライブに行きました。
シフトレバーをＳレンジに入れる事無く、いつでもパドルを使えます。両方のパドルが同時に引かれるか、パドル操作が３分間無いと、モードはＤレンジに自動復帰します。
これはやはり、非常に便利で、特に強いエンジンブレーキが必要な時、重宝します。

When I went to my dealer today, I bought the tire chain for a sudden snow.
今日、ディーラーに行ったとき、チェーンを買ってきました。突然の雪に備える為です。

And, I got this from the dealer. そして、ディーラーからこれを頂きました。
Yeah! It is a Christmas Eve today ! :D　そう、今日はクリスマスイブでした！

My IS is under repair now.

In order to repair the dent on my 2IS, I entrusted dealer with my car.
石跳ねによるキズを直す為と、ＩＳをディーラーに預ける事にしました。
There are dent in the hood and bumper and grill.
キズはボンネットとバンパー、グリルにあります。

But these dents were small and unremarkable, I decided to repair in order to use effectively car insurance. My dealer said the hood will repaint all and the bumper and the grill will change to new. And it will take about a week. Meanwhile, I have to rent a loaner car. It also will be covered by my car insurance.
でも、それらのキズはとても小さくて目立たないのですが、保険を有効活用するために決めました。ディーラーによると、ボンネットは全塗装、バンパーとグリルは新品に交換されるとのこと。そして、一週間は掛かるらしいです。　その間、代車を借りる必要があります。これも、保険が効きます。

This is loaner car.　で、これが今回の代車です



Mark X. The size are mostly equal to 2IS, but 2IS is definitely still better at all.
マークＸ、サイズはほぼ同等なのですが、やっぱりＩＳの方が全てにおいて断然良いデス！

So, I have to wait to install the D-range paddle shifter until next week, though it was completed.
なので、Ｄレンジ・パドル・シフターは完成したのですが、装着は来週以降となります。

New Project for my LEXUS IS Part 3

At least, the circuit for installing was completed.
ようやく、実装用の回路が完成しました。

The left cable is a sensor to detect D-position.　The right side one interrupt to the connector that connect to the transmission.　I used GT-Shifter for this.
左側のケーブルはＤレンジを検出するためのセンサーで、右側はトランスミッションに接続されているケーブルに割り込ませます。ＧＴシフターのケーブルはこの為に使いました。

Immediately, I connected it with my 2IS to test.
直ぐにＩＳに繋げてみました。

Well, what happen ?
At first, I set the gear to D position.
さて、何が起こるのか・・・・？
先ずはギアをＤレンジに入れます。

When I pull the paddle-shifter in this situation, the gear position will be set to S-mode automatically !! :D
この状態でパドルを引くと、自動的にＳモードに入ります！(^^)v

The position will return to D-position when I pull both paddles + and -, or when the set time passes.
In short, I can set the gear to S-mode without moving to S-position by only pulling the paddle.
＋とーの両方のパドルを同時に引くか、設定時間が経過すると、Ｄレンジに自動復帰します。
要するに、ギアをＳレンジに入れなくても、パドルを引くだけでＳモードに入れるって事です！

ALL I have to do is that puts it in a suitable case and install it to my 2IS.
あとは、適当なケースに入れて、ＩＳに実装するだけです。

New Project for my LEXUS IS Part 2

The project has progressed a little.
I could confirm to work it fine on the testing circuit. And I could get the parts that I orderd. After this, what I have to do is to create the item for implementation. However, I'm very busy now, so the completion seems to take more time... :-(
ちょっとだけですが進展しました。
テスト用サーキット上で、上手く動作する事が確認でき、頼んでいたパーツも届きました。後は実装用のものを作るのみです。しかし、今ちょっと忙しくて、もう少し時間がかかりそう。。。 (--

New Project for my LEXUS IS

I started a new project for my 2IS.
IS用に、とある作業を始めました。

( This is a preparation phase, yet. これはまだ準備段階ですが。 )
I cannot say what the new project is so far. Because, I have no idea whether this project make good.However, I surely think that it become a convenient function if this project succeeds.
今の所、これが何であるかは控えたいと思います。なぜなら、これば上手く行くかどうか分からないからです。でも、上手く行けばきっと便利な機能になると思います。
Maybe, This project will take a few weeks. So, I'll post the situation of this project to my blog a little by little. :-)
たぶん、この作業には数週間を要すると思うので、状況は少しづつアップして行きます。(^^)

Try to repaire my IS's wheel

So I was kind of busy lately, I couldn't post my Blog.
最近、ちょっと忙しくて、更新が滞っておりました。
Well, I repaired my 2IS's scratched wheel last week.
さて、先週ですがホイールのリペアを実施しました。
First of all, I washed up the wheel. 先ずはホイールを洗います。

Because the wind was strong, I moved 2IS to the garage, and pasted the masking tape to around the scratch.
風が強かったので、車庫に移動し、傷の周囲をマスキングします。

I polished the scratch with a sandpaper and painted the aluminum patty on the scratch.
傷をサンドペーパーで磨き、アルミパテを塗り込みます。

After the patty hardens I polished again.
パテが硬化した後、再び磨きます。

And this is the result....
そしてこれが結果です。。。

The scratch became unremarkable a little and flatling, but it is difficult to say "Complete".
It seems to be necessary to paint it. next time... :-(
傷は多少は目立たなく、平らになったものの、これではとても「完成」とは言えません。。。
次は塗装が必要なようです。。。(--;

LEXUS Owners Meeting

LEXUS owners met at here today.
レクサスのオーナーズミーティングがここで開催されました。

F1 Grand-prix will be held here, Fuji Speed Way. next year
来年、Ｆ１グランプリが開催される事になった、富士スピードウェイです。.
And "The LEXUS College" where the training center for LEXUS staff is here, and we visited here. Unfortunately, taking a picture here was prohibited. So, I could only take a nameboard.
レクサスのスタッフが研修で使う”レクサス・カレッジ”がここにあり、我々はここも見学する事ができました。しかし、ここは撮影がきんしされており、表のサインを撮影できただけです。

It was rainy day. If it was fine, following a picture should have been able to be taken.
この日は雨だったのですが、もし天気が良ければ、このような写真がとれたはずです。

55 IS, 7 GS, 3 SC, 1 LS got together.

Because it was rainy, I couldn't take enough pictures...
雨の為、十分な写真が撮れず・・・

Well, Today's main event started　!
この日のメインイベントがいよいよスタートです！

It was running of the speed way !　This was my first experience.
そう、サーキット走行です！これは生まれてはじめての体験です。

I wated to run at pit road.　ピットロードでスタートを待ちます。

Got into the course!　いよいよコースへ！

Go Go! But We had to be following pace car. And we couldn't overtake. However, it was so exciting. :-)
ゴーゴー！って行きたいところですが、ペースカーの後ろを走らなくてはなりません。また追い越し禁止です。でも、とても面白かった～！

This is Chicane carbe. シケインです。

Home straight. Maybe, F1 car can run with 300km or more!
ホームストレート。Ｆ１なら３００Ｋｍ以上出るでしょう。

We could run 2 lap.　体験走行は２周回で終了です。

This is today's result.
Total distance was 380.4Km. And Average of mileage after full tank was 12.5km/L.
Of cource, they were included running speed way.
今日の結果ですが、まぁこの通りで、もちろんサーキット走行も含んでます。

In order to repair my LEXUS IS.

In order to repair my 2IS's wheel, I bought following goods.
ホイールのリペアのために、これらを購入しました。

Actually, I've failed in the repair of the scratch of the car before. So, I worry a little to repair.
Even if I make a mistake to repair, it might be OK this time, because it is a wheel.
I'll try it at Sunday. :-)
実は以前、傷のリペアに失敗した事があるので、ちょっと心配です。。。
まぁでも、今回はホイールなので多少の失敗は許されるかな。
